Antitrust + Competition Law

With more than ten lawyers, our Antitrust + Competition law practice group is one of the largest and foremost antitrust teams in Austria. The practice group advises on national and international cases, and coordinates cases in multiple jurisdictions. With our office in Brussels, we also represent our clients’ interests there.

We advise and represent in merger control proceedings before the Austrian Federal Competition Authority and the Cartel Court, as well as before the European Commission. We also coordinate multi-jurisdictional filings, primarily in the DACH and CEE regions.

We represent companies in proceedings for alleged cartels and abuse of a dominant position before the Austrian Cartel Court and the Supreme Court, as well as before the European Commission and the European Courts. This also includes the coordination of leniency applications before national competition authorities within and outside the EU. In the run-up to such proceedings, we advise potential leniency applicants and work on complex and transnational conduct within the scope of comprehensive internal investigations.

Advising and representing clients in private enforcement cases is another focus of our Antitrust + Competition law practice group. We advise both plaintiffs and defendants.

Our day-to-day business includes providing ongoing competition law advice to our clients on cooperation agreements with competitors, distribution agreements, and general antitrust compliance issues.

Our Antitrust + Competition law practice group has extensive experience in dawn raids and provides training on this topic. In the last five years, we have held more than one hundred training sessions on the correct conduct during dawn raids.

Together with our Corporate + M&A and Public Law practice groups, the Antitrust + Competition law practice groups advises on Investment Control.
