E+H advised Wien Energie, Austria’s largest regional energy service provider, on the acquisition of all shares in ELLA GmbH & Co KG, a domestic e-charging infrastructure operator based in Lower Austria, from WEB Windenergie AG.
With this acquisition, Wien Energie is further intensifying the expansion of its e-charging infrastructure. Wien Energie’s portfolio of publicly accessible charging stations, which are supplied with 100 percent green electricity, will thus grow by around 20 percent. After an integration phase, the Tanke Wien Energie charging network will grow to more than 3,000 charging stations. In addition to the greater Vienna area, the Tanke Wien Energie charging network will also include additional locations in Lower Austria, Upper Austria, and Burgenland in the future.
“This transaction is another milestone in the strategic expansion of Wien Energie’s e-mobility infrastructure. We are delighted to have provided legal support to our client in this important step.” said Marco Steiner, Managing Partner at E+H and Head of the Energy & Infrastructure Practice Group.
