On 13 May 2022, E+H received the equalitA seal of approval from the Federal Ministry for Digitalization and Economic Location. The equalitA seal is awarded to companies for the promotion of women within the company, gender equality within the company, the promotion and visibility of women’s careers, and the support of equality of all genders. The seal of approval is awarded for three years at a time.
Equal opportunities, equal treatment, and fairness
This initiative of the Federal Ministry for Digitalization and Economic Location has been recognizing companies for their commitment to the advancement of women since 2020. Among the forty companies and organizations that were awarded the seal on 13 May 2022, E+H was the only law firm. Less than 100 companies have been awarded the seal of approval to date, and E+H is one of only three law firms to hold this exclusive distinction. For several years now, four practice groups at E+H (employment law, litigation, public law, and public procurement) have been led by female partners.
“Awards such as the equalitA seal of approval are particularly important in the legal industry, where women make up only a quarter of all legal advisors,” says partner Ulrike Sehrschön.
“Equality and fairness at all levels within the firm are among E+H’s core values. The fact that we have now also been recognized for this with an external award is a very special honor,” says HR Partner Dieter Thalhammer.
