E+H advises Materna in the acquisition of Radar Cyber Security

28.09.2022

E+H advised Materna Information & Communications SE (Materna), a leading German IT consulting company specializing in digitalization projects, on the acquisition of 100% of the shares in the Austrian RadarServices Smart IT-Security GmbH (Radar Cyber Security), provider of a comprehensive technical platform solution for cyber security and IT risk detection.

The inclusion of Vienna-based cyber security provider Radar Cyber Security in Materna’s service portfolio completes its range of security solutions. The platform developed by Radar Cyber Security for setting up Security Operations Centers (SOC) will be continued by Materna. The goal is to become one of the leading end-to-end providers and consultants for cyber security in the DACH region.

Demand for cyber security services is steadily increasing worldwide, in both the public and private sectors. For example, attacks on IT systems of financial service providers, companies in the energy sector, or companies at the federal level are becoming increasingly complex and require comprehensive deployment of IT security control centers (SOCs) so that security vulnerabilities can be quickly identified, analyzed, and remediated.

One of the founders of Radar Cyber Security, Dr. Christian Polster, will remain on the management board, but moving forward he will carry out this activity jointly with Eugenio Carlon, the previous head of cyber security at Materna.

“We are pleased to have been able to support Materna in the expansion of its cyber security portfolio and wish Radar Cyber Security and Materna all the best for the next steps,” says E+H M&A expert Johannes Feilmair, who led the E+H team in advising Materna.
