The law firms E+H and BINDER GRÖSSWANG are pleased to announce the successful completion of an outstanding transaction: the PPP project for the planning, construction, financing and operation of the new “Educational Campus Nordwestbahnhof” in Vienna.
E+H advised the winning bidder consortium, comprising HYPO NOE Leasing GmbH, STRABAG Real Estate GmbH and CAVERION Österreich GmbH, in dealings with the City of Vienna and the banks financing the project.
BINDER GRÖSSWANG acted on behalf of the European Investment Bank and DZ BANK AG and took the lead in structuring and executing the debt financing agreements.
“The structuring and implementation of a PPP project of this scale requires the precise integration of PPP, subcontractor, financing and other agreements, as well as a very high level of expertise from all parties involved. We are delighted to have contributed to the realisation of this forward-looking educational campus,” explains Mag. Arndt Blaschka, MSc., Partner at E+H, who led the advisory work on behalf of E+H.
“For us, it was particularly important to align the complex structure of the transaction with the financing banks and to reflect this in the financing agreements. The efficient cooperation of all parties was the key to the successful completion of the transaction,” says Dr. Stefan Tiefenthaler, partner at Binder Grösswang.
The law firms also emphasised their professional and collaborative partnership: “We are very thankful for the excellent cooperation, which was always characterised by a high degree of professionalism and collegiality.”
