Tanja Pfleger works as attorney-at-law (“ständige Substitutin”) at E+H. She has many years of experience in data protection law, EU data and digital regulation, as well as in the areas of IT and commercial law. She provides comprehensive advice to clients on complex transactions, projects and proceedings before the data protection authority. Other areas of focus include the implementation of AI and legal tech solutions, particularly in multi-jurisdictional projects.
After several months of international work experience at a specialist legal publishing house, Tanja Pfleger began her professional career at a government agency, where she gained comprehensive insights into administrative procedures.
She subsequently worked as a data protection officer and in-house lawyer at a private university. In this role, she was responsible for designing and implementing data protection requirements, provided comprehensive legal advice to internal departments, and played a key role in shaping the university’s legal framework and compliance structure. Before joining E+H, she worked as an associate at the international law firm Freshfields in the Tech, Data and Commercial group.
She also holds legal courses and lectures at various educational institutions.
