Austria partially goes beyond the EU minimum protection for suppliers and introduces <strong>stricter rules<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The aim of the Act is to <strong>redress<\/strong> a possible <strong>imbalance between suppliers of agricultural and food products<\/strong> and <strong>buyers that have greater turnover<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">Violations<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\"> can <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">nullify<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\"> the respective clauses and give rise to injunctive relief. Starting 01 May 2022, <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">fines of up to EUR 500,000<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\"> can be imposed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Most of the provisions entered into force on 01 January 2022.
