The Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund (3SIIF) (“the Fund”) is a dedicated commercial fund targeting infrastructure investments in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and is exclusively advised by Amber Infrastructure. 3SIIF invests in energy, transport and digital infrastructure in European Union (EU) CEE member states. The Fund has acquired a significant interest in Enery, an operations-led renewable energy developer, and was advised by E+H (Eisenberger + Herzog). The transaction was completed in May 2021.

This is 3SIIF’s first investment in the energy sector and commits significant funding to Enery to expand the company’s ground-mounted photovoltaic portfolio in Central and Eastern Europe.

The acquisition marks 3SIIF’s third portfolio investment; previous investments were in the transportation and digital sectors.

The successful transaction was led by E+H partner Marco Steiner and E+H senior associate Johannes Feilmair, LL.M., both experts in corporate law/M&A with a special focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors.
